About Cycling Holiday Cottages

We operate our own self catering holiday cottages for cyclists in Northumberland on the edge of the Cheviot Hills.  The Pennine Cycleway national cycle route and the Northern Rock Cyclone Challenge run past our cottages, and there are a number of long or short rides direct from the door that afford spectacular views and allow the opportunity to witness a wealth of wildlife.

Many of our guests are enthusiastic cyclists, and we not only provide OS maps, but also printed leaflets and notes of our own on what to see along the way.

In late 2013 we created The Cottage Cooperative, which has a number of websites like this one to help guests find the exact type of cottage they require.  Cottages listed on our websites are owned by like-minded members  who abide by a genuine code of advertising standards and are committed to offering a high quality service to guests.

For this reason there will never be hundreds of cottages on this website, but as our members must agree to our standards before advertising, you should enjoy more peace of mind when booking.  We may well not yet have a cottage of the size you require in the area you want, but please check back as membership is growing slowly but surely.

All of the cottages in the Cycling Holiday Cottages collection are listed on this website not only because they have a good rides close by, as well as secure storage for bicycles, but also on the understanding that each member must be able to provide some local knowledge to set you on your way.

All you have to do is arrive and start pedalling!
