Full Description

Set in the grounds of a 17th century farmhouse, the location of Quaker Barns makes for a wonderful rural retreat yet we are less than 10 miles from the centre of Norwich.

THE ACCOMMODATION
Our 5* award-winning barn conversions are light, spacious, and contemporary in style: each has an open plan kitchen, dining and living area as well as a private, south-facing garden with outside seating, BBQ, and views across undulating fields to the woods beyond. Underfloor heating, straw insulation and wood burners make the cottages perfect to rent all year round.
Our two self-catering cottages are situated next door to each other and are connected via a covered walkway. They can either be rented separately or together to sleep a total of 17 guests.
Hall Barn sleeps up to nine people in four bedrooms, two of which are on the ground floor. This property has two first floor en suite bathrooms and a separate ground floor shower room.
Quaker Barn sleeps up to eight people in three bedrooms and has two en suite bathrooms as well as a separate bathroom, all of which are on the ground floor.
Each barn is equipped with an oven, microwave, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer facilities, TV with Freeview, a DVD player, Sonos sound system and WiFi. We also provide a complimentary supply of logs for the wood burners.
When renting both barns, we can also provide you with an additional table and chairs so that your entire group can dine together in Hall Barn. Furthermore, you are welcome to employ the services of outside caterers and/or entertainment – some of our previous guests have organised pamper/beauty therapy parties, cocktail masterclasses, and life drawing lessons at the barns.

THE AREA
The rural location of Quaker Barns provides peace and tranquillity with uninterrupted views across open fields to woodland beyond. There is an abundance of birds and wildlife and deer can often be seen leaping across the fields. A neighbouring footpath allows you to enjoy country walks direct from the doorstep and quiet country lanes, perfect for cyclists, surround the property.
Hall Barn and Quaker Barn are also brilliantly situated for getting out and about to explore Norfolk. It’s less than a 30-minute drive to Wroxham, the capital of the Norfolk Broads, and the stunning North Norfolk coast is just over half an hour away. There are also five National Trust places within 30 minutes of Quaker Barns and the historic city of Norwich can be reached in around 20 minutes.
